Our Approach to Privacy Protection
Protecting the privacy of users accessing services under the ipc.pbs.edu.pl domain is of utmost importance to the Bydgoszcz University of Science and Technology. The University makes every effort to ensure the best protection of personal data for users of its administered websites.
Personal Data Administrator
Under the provisions of Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 27 April 2016 on the protection of natural persons concerning the processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data, repealing Directive 95/46/EC (General Data Protection Regulation), the administrator of your personal data is the University.

Purposes of Personal Data Processing
The University processes personal data of website users to the extent necessary to fulfill the statutory tasks of an academic institution, in compliance with the provisions of laws concerning electronic media. Personal data are processed to conduct recruitment processes, manage the course of studies, support scientific research, facilitate student and teacher mobility, provide access to information on current events posted on the site, maintain contact, and for other purposes arising from the website’s functionality. Data collected in log files are used solely for site administration purposes. Personal data of users visiting ipc.pbs.edu.pl are processed as specified in the informational clauses.
Disclosure of Your Data
Users’ personal data will be disclosed only to authorized University employees and service providers processing data entrusted by the University, to the extent necessary to properly provide services to the institution. Data may also be disclosed to public authorities based on legal provisions.
Duration of Personal Data Processing
The University will process users’ personal data for the period necessary in connection with the use of the Service and to achieve the purposes indicated above. More information about data processing duration can be found in the Informational Clause.
Operational Data
The University informs that upon a user’s connection to the Service, information about the user’s terminal device number (including IP) and type, from which the user connects to the Service, appears in the Service’s system logs. We inform that data regarding the user’s terminal device number (including IP) and type, as well as the connection time to the Service, along with other operational data concerning the user’s activity in the Service, will be processed in accordance with the laws in force in the territory of the Republic of Poland. These data are processed for technical purposes.
Personal Data Security
The University declares that it makes every effort to ensure a high level of security for users in using the Service by implementing appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect data against accidental or unlawful destruction, loss, unauthorized disclosure, or access.
User Rights
Each user has the right to access their data, rectify them, delete them, limit processing, and object to processing. To exercise these rights, please contact the University through the Data Protection Officer, available at iod@pbs.edu.pl. Providing data by the user is voluntary, except where regulated by law. In other situations, providing personal data to the extent required by law is mandatory, as it is necessary to achieve the purpose of their processing, specifically defined at the time of data collection. If a user believes their right to personal data protection has been violated, they may file a complaint with the President of the Personal Data Protection Office (ul. Stawki 2, 00-193 Warsaw).
Information on Data Transfer to a Third Country or International Organization
Users’ personal data will not be transferred to a third country or international organization unless it results from an international agreement and is carried out at the data owner’s request.
Information on Automated Decision-Making, Including Profiling
The University informs that personal data of users of the Service using the ipc.pbs.edu.pl domain will not be subject to automated decision-making, including profiling.
